DIY Internet Marketing

For the people/corporations who prefers to do their internet marketing on their own, I will delineate the whole funnel process and supply chain management of internet marketing, as well as links for one to get started here. They will be numbered and listed in a sequential/logical order to facilitate thinking and planning of any internet marketing processes.

The best part about internet marketing? The mere fact that it can be made to run on autopilot.

Okay, let’s start.

1) Products/Services To Sell

Even if you don’t have your own product, you can go to affiliate networks such as www.clickbank.com or www.cj.com to look for products that you’d like to sell.

Don’t know where to start? Read Rosalind Gardner’s Super Affiliate Handbook for only $47!

2) You’ll Need A Website/Blog

You can get started by using free blogs from Blogger or WordPress, or for the more serious planners, you should decide to get a hosted website. People who want to build their own websites can use XSitePro. Other website software one can utilise for those who are more creative-based can use dreamweaver and AI (illustrator).

3) Webhosting

The real reason why anyone would want a paid hosting service as opposed to a free service by Blogger and WordPress is that with paid hosting, you’ll get full reign on what you want or dont want on your website. This means freedom. On the other hand, having a blog on Blogger or WordPress means that your blog is subjected to their terms and conditions, infringement will mean a possibility of shutdown. But it’s good experience; once you’ve gotten the hang of it and would consider going the next level, get your own hosting. Read up on my review of BlueHost Web Hosting Services too – I’ve been using them for years.

4) Build Your List: The Money’s In The List.

This simply means capturing the details of the visitors visiting your site, and funneling them to see which is good and which is not good. Why? Then you can focus on targeted audience. Better one serious buyer than one thousand lukewarm or worse, uninterested ones. Two that I can recommend are: GetResponse and Aweber. Using either will enhance your ability to contact and connect with your audience, be much more professional in sending out direct autoresponse messages, creating e-zines and other loyalty building processes.

5) Content Creation

Content means the stuff that people want to read, it's the meat that will draw and keep the crowd. If you give fluff, people won't listen nor read nor believe you. Ever. So, really, give out good content. Content that is of high quality, well-written, and intrigues people.

6) Market Your Site and Products

This is the distribution channels we're talking about, such as utilising websites and blogs to place your content and of course, services or products that your target readers might be keen to purchase in, and should they purchase from you/your site, you will get some compensation. There is many ways you can and should do this, but let's name a few basic items:

a. websites/blogs are like your shop where you house your products, services
b. your content are your staff who constantly sell your ideas and services
c. traffic are people whom you want to bring to your site, preferably people who are keen on what you are talking about
